It's been heavy rain since 5am would rather them call it off than put the pitch at risk after all the work that's gone in.

Thought they'd spent shed loads on proper drainage in the summer?

Does anyone know if there's plans for an early pitch inspection by the match official, Mr Madley? (now there's a name for a referee!)

At Rainworth for the youth game, not the best draining pitch. Despite the foul weather all good here, so don't see an issue later.

I think your humour was too subtle for most of us, as we have many people on here who will make a post like that in all seriousness, you need to add a smiley face to give a joke alert to old duffers like me :)

I'm worried that all this heavy rain will reduce the effectiveness of the scoreboard.

So it seems the pitch got an A+ under the most testing of circumstances. 4/5 years ago it would've been abandoned.

I agree, the pitch was the winner for us tonight. Well done to the ground staff.
