This is ridiculous. Doesn't Evans know that we beat Scunthorpe 7-0 in 1975? Why on earth would we be looking to sign one of their players? I see we've now missed out on Neymar too, so I guess we might end up with a PSG reject, unless he roosters that up too...

On another note, you can by-pass image rights for Angol, by buying Kangol clothing from Sports Direct, and covering up or removing the "K"..... you're very welcome.

Hopper is the one we have made the bid on and the club accepted the bid. Hopper is mulling over the move. There are other players we are talking too as well as hopper. we know he wants a midfield player on loan. That's how its should be interpreted

All very odd this?

SE has acknowledged that Tom Hopper is a player he is interested in.

Scunthorpe manager acknowledges the bid but says he hasn't spoken to the player to see if he has made his mind up yet.

Hopper is only 23, hails from Boston, I don't know his personal circumstances but he is consulting his family, maybe he doesn't fancy travelling but as a footballer he has to go where the work is.

This could be a disaster waiting to happen.

Suppose I shouldn't worry, it's bad for my health.

I was in the North Stand that night against Scunny. Lets sign Ray Clarke again. Proper centre forward who hardly ever missed a chance that season. However Scunny at moment are a division higher. Not for much longer!!!!

Everything I've heard about Hopper is basically the same assessment.

"Works hard, runs himself into the ground, but doesn't score enough goals."

Well that's two good assets. He is only young, so he could develop into a 20 goals a season striker. All transfers are gambles.

It has, but I don't see the relevance now. I hope the lad isn't reading this thread. Because if he is I fully understand why he is mulling the move over.

May not be relevant now but mentioned it due to it being factual.

World War II was not nice.

Water is very important.

Russia is big.

All factually too, I am thinking we are signing a thirsty Russian World War II veteran to play up top.

The clues are there, you just have to look for them.

So...

Are we getting an update on our search for a striker.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

I would imagine we'll get an update, when there's actually something to update.
We think the same things at the same time
We just can't do anything about it

I wouldn't want us to sign Tom Hopper. He's not what we need and he clearly doesn't want to come here!
There are much better strikers that we could sign, and we could also do with a bit more experience up front.

We should have signed Chris Porter instead of Jimmy Spencer.
Bet the wages are not much different.

I think they would have been. Also Crewe paid a fee for Porter.

I reckon Spencer is on around £800-1k a week, Porter will be on double that.

Im more than willing to give him a chance.
Doesn't alter my opinion we should've signed Porter instead though.
