JT clearly isn't a serious part of our first team sqaud. Felt a bit sorry for him yesterday. If Steve doesn't rate him and won't play him then why keep him here?

He was contracted for this year and steve knows what he did a couple seasons ago so its worth keeping him, he's got to work hard, wait for his chance and then impress. I think he needs a bit of luck to get a chance then he really needs to play well otherwise he will be gone.

I've heard Thomas may be leaving on loan this week and he thinks his time is up at Mansfield.

Getting 6 minutes yesterday would cetainly suggest that.

Jack needs to go and get regular football. He is not going to improve sat in the stands. Hopefully a National League Premier or North side will give him a go. Boston must be favourites.

Jacks body language in Malta wasn't good. Got the impression he knows his days are numbered.

Both his and Baxendale body language over the last 2 year has in the extreme, been embarrassing.

If JT wasn't already under contract I'd have thought he wouldn't be here.

Saying that, I would love him to come and prove me wrong and be player of the year

Isn't that part of his problem? Staying in his comfort zone. Gets a loan move, and its to Barrow to where he knew Paul Cox. Goes to Boston & knows Adam Murray. from the outset, he seems too comfortable here & where he knows people. He probably needs to move somewhere completely different & start again. There's a good player in there somewhere...

What Evans is saying today is quite different to what he said previously ...

mansfieldtown.net, 17 July 2017
https://www.mansfieldtown.net/news/2017 ... r-17-july/

Stags travel to Evo-Stik Southern League side Stocksbridge Park Steels on Tuesday evening before welcoming Championship side Middlesbrough to One Call Stadium on Wednesday night and the boss says the squad will be split between the two games.

"I can say that all the squad will travel to Stocksbridge and all the squad will be here for the Middlesbrough game and they'll train in between times of course.

"So we'll be up there (at Stocksbridge) – myself and Paul [Raynor] will take the team so that's probably indicative of the squad that will travel. There'll be a lot of first team players travelling and we're going to travel up nice and early and prepare properly and see if we can win a game.

"Every game now is massively important. It's very important because it's now important to us about the minutes on the pitch. We probably go by the Stocksbridge games and the Middlesbrough games and we get to Stamford and Nottingham Forest and we then have to start to think of Crewe.

Logan still looks a big lad... Out of the two keepers I think Olejnik will be number one, thought he looked great in the playoffs for exeter, Not seen much of logan.

What does everyone think?

olejnic didn't fill me with confidence in his 45 against Wednesday, where as Logan did, I no it's only 45 mins we've seen of each, but it's imo of course

Looking at that defence you would be looking for a clean sheet against a lower league side
