Anyone else seen the new advertising situated in front of the IG stand

Metal frames around 3ft high running the length of the pitch only with space between the dugouts

What about the banners hanging down from the front of Ian Greaves Upper at the North Stand end:

"This is War". and
"Before Mansfield I was never happy"

Were they there last season?

Looks like the Bradley Lowery one is the only one that has been taken down.

Looking at those photos looks like our 4 season tickets I have purchased we won't be able to see much of the pitch. Nice to be asked, I'm not at the friendly Saturday on holiday. If anyone can sit frontrow where I sit and give an opinion if you can see owt would be appreciated. Bear in mind have a 7/8 year old will they see anything?!

Does anyone know if there going on the north stand side. Hopefully do away with them hideous unprofessional crowd barriers.

They are also still there in place, i saw them last Friday (along with the Bradley Lowery Flag, so this must have been taken down this week unfortunately). You can see the banners albeit faintly on the facebook link Martin posted.

I'm sure I read on Facebook page that the Bradley flag has been taken down and transported up north, presumably the family are allowing football flags about him as a tribute to him. If this is happening, footballs pulling together for poor little Bradley

I remember calling for something like this after Tranmere fans picked up and threw the old metal crowd barriers!!! A good move by the club.

When I went onto the ground on Tuesday I sat on the front seat mentioned it to the workman a chIld sat at the front would struggle to see over the metal frame.

Will still be at front they like it at the front, but if the kids can't see the stewards are going to put up with them being stood up. It ain't there fault no-one applied common sense to lower the barrier so all ages could see. I'm sure this will send the, into overdrive come the 1st home game

Your welcome

Another possibility could be players sliding into the boards or being knocked over them due to the closeness to the pitch.... hopefully neither will occur.

The old ground had a 4ft concrete wall all the way round the pitch.

When I was a kid we were in the Bishop and stood just below the seats. I had to stand on the concrete ledge to see the game, had a stood on the terrace all I'd have seen was a wall. In the early 80's, that would have been no bad thing.

But no seating pitch side so your point is invalid Mr Sneag lol

And I don't think it was 4ft perhaps seemed that high because you where smaller lol

As Rob said, it was more like 5ft on the Bishop St.

Looks loads better, they should take it all the way round.

It was at least 4ft, in front of Bishop street stand. As a 6ft lad, up to just below shoulder height. It was a wall of concrete slabs stood on a concrete base. You could pay extra to transfer into the stand. Think a bob or two
