Not quite, 3 houses away

I dunno about Brian May living in Papplewick, but Freddie Mercurys Mum lived most of her life in Mapperley. I don't know if she knew Blacstock though!

He never has, he seems to think it's because freddies mum was from Nottingham. They asked him on radio Nottingham.

Brian May of "Queen" fame lives in Windlesham, Surrey. Had to courier a wig of his from his house up to a west end theater a few years back.

I'd have thought he would have been a good signing as it is quite a drop down for him, but after reading that article i hope we don't go down that route. If he can't be bothered to get his head right to be the 'main man' at Rotherham in the Championship then he will not be bothered about giving his all for Mansfield Town in league 2

If Evans can't get better than him then he will go with what he's got.Pretty sure we are ok up front.Would have liked Akinde or Collins though.

IMO being 'ok' up front, isn't good enough for promotion, we need that striker that's gonna put um away at this level, away from Evans public statements, his track record shows he will get his man, just wish we could put it to bed sooner rather than later, however it's like a chain, JR & Evo will deliver

Bryant and May would be better strikers.

Think the Brian May in Papplewick thing has been an urban myth for years which has been disproved by interviews with Brian himself, I used to believe it myself. It's true Freddies mum still lives Nottingham way and when Mercury, the Queen tribute band turn up to play locally, she has been known to turn up at their gigs (and I know this because one of my friends knows Glen, the Brian May in Mercury)

Yes. I've been to the house where he was born.

Back to topic. Any more info on blackstock signing?
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Evans must be under pressure to consider a signing like that.
The Stags are for life, not just for cup finals. (or Liverpool).

He might do well because he's so used to championship football, Might come here and find it easy. But i think he'd probably think it would be like that and then not try and be shipped out as garbage.

I hear he's a fan of 'fat bottomed girls', so extra seats may be required.
