Just watched the Chad video report of Big Steves press conference it states one of the names as David Wheeler from Exeter City as one of the possible players we are after, i've never seen his name banded about has anyone else?

Yes i have, he scored quite a lot of goals and had a few assists last season. Wouldn't be a bad last signing at all

Is he an improvement on what we already have?
The Stags are for life, not just for cup finals. (or Liverpool).

Exeter fans seem to have mentioned his name a fair bit when they've learned about us being in for one of the top scorers in the division.
Whether there's something in it, or because they're putting two and two together after we bid for Watkins before, I'm not sure.

Im sure he'd add something to us, having 5 strikers would be the right amount imo

Think Wheeler would be a cracking signing! Would really suit being on the right of a front 3 as well which would allow us to get 3 midfielders in

what's with all these ridiculous transfer fees? He's not even a prolific striker is he? Thought he just had a good season last.

They may as well give us the league title now. :?

Reading their forum, 18 goals in open play off on Inc cups (not sure about this stat), no penos etc, makes him the top scorer from open play. He has said though he wouldn't go to another league 2 club apparently. Good signing in my eyes if it happens
Fatty played us good and proper

David Wheeler reminds me of Danny Rose. Wins a lot of balls in the air for someone under 6 foot. Exeter tried to rely on him too much in the Play Off Final by hitting long diagonal passes although it paid off for their goal.
