Been to the summit of kilimanjaro. I can confirm it is very very cold. -15.

Ice cubes do have a chance in Africa.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Well its either one big wind up by a bunch of friends who have had a few drinks too many or there is some truth in him being in Malta , for whatever reason .
persona i l think it's the first option.

Two hour recruitment meeting with the chairman and gaffer last evening.
We'll continue to try and deliver the gaffer's final target(s).

I assume Evans is referring to the first 'bid', which was made a month or so ago.

Looking at Carolyn's most recent tweet, it looks like the deal for this player could well be back on?

I think the key word is "has" suggesting present tense rather than past.

Johns tweet suggests we have missed out on the target, and Carolyn's suggests we are going to move on to another target in my eyes

The fact that the final striker SE is targeting would be our strongest (by far and away) tells you that he obviously thinks we are still lacking up front. It is slightly concerning that this is the piece of jigsaw we don't seem able to find, given that putting chances away was our Achilles Heel last season. Curiously, the area we have probably recruited best in is defence, yet that was probably the area that needed least attention. As such, we are (currently) oversubscribed in terms of quality defenders and undersubscribed in terms of quality strikers.

Finding a regular goal scorer is the hardest job in football.

Then if you find him he costs the earth.

It's all been a lexicographical mistake, I reckon.

Someone overheard a conversation where it was said that Evans was hoping for a "marquee" signing.

On re-tweeting, someone typed "marquis".

Easy mistake to make!

Looks to be the case, good rumour Sank!

Anyone seen them today or will there be another meal out tonight to seal the deal?!

Although I'd love to see him come here, with Barnsley, Blackburn, Bristol City and Ipswich all interested it's highly unlikely.

Get him a plate of lampuki and the deal will be done. Washed down with some vintage 2016 cisk pilsner. I mean ,come on who wouldn't sign if that was offered up at sunset on the beautiful island of Malta

shirt deal is, however as based in the town, they are still connected to football club
Done a bit of digging, Ipswich are favourites to land him, their other striker williams i think his name is, has come off tx list and signed a new deal, they expect Marquis to leave but to a championship club

be funny as owt, if we get him i shall be taking the wee for months
