So when we play the Spireites away, we'll be in all amber and not in the away kit.

We'll be in white shirts and shorts mate.

Far too much blue on the shirt

We'll be in all yellow when we play at Chesterfield. We can't play in white as they have white patches on their kit.

I can now confirm that the new home kit looks a lot better than I thought it would do. I would however suggest wearing the yellow socks, there is too much blue.

The blue is our secondary colour, therefore the majority of the kit should be yellow.

*by 'yellow', I also mean 'amber'.
There is one formidable adversary that Arsene Wenger has yet to defeat; it's Arsene Wenger's Coat.

Saw someone in the Forester this afternoon in one of these new shirts.

Good to see another Stags fan, however, surprisingly enough, they look raspberries on a middle-aged man!

Who'd thunk it?

All football shirts look stupid on overweight middleaged or elderly men.

That's why I don't buy myself one, honest if nothing else.

It's about pride. It's no fashion statement. The chap'll not care a monkey's what you, Tom, D ick or Harry think. He's not about to stroll down some Milan catwalk. He's proud to wear it and isn't facing some midlife crisis like you seem Doomy. Moreover he's paid £40 into t'clubs coffers for the pleasure.
I'm suprised you didn't go and lecture him on 'it's not the done thing for a bloke your age bud, you have to wear a shirt n tie like me, act your age '

Well I was and if you count running the length of the pitch to invade an empty North stand at 2.15p.m.
a result, well there you go!
There was bother in town but then again, it was expected.

Mind you, do you remember some Villa fans coming into a sparsely populated North Stand at half time
and running around like madmen. We had a very small crowd.
Their game at Boro, I think it was, had been called of so they turned up at FM.

Good old days!

I wear shirts and ties for funerals, weddings and job interviews. I don't need to wear rubbish sportswear to promote my football club, I'll casually chat about them with whoever wants to talk about the subject. I also wouldn't lecture anyone on what clothing that they wear. Each to their own.

However, on a thread about a particular item of clothing I'll offer my opinion on what I think the quality is. As this thread is called 'New Stags Home Shirts' I'll offer my opinion that it looks rubbish,....as they usually do.

Thanks for the debate.

I think there comes a time in your life where you have to put aside replica kits, & go for the polo shirt instead.

Far better suited to the middle aged man frame.

Does that mean when you get to retirement age you have to wear the standard retirement age summer attire? ie white or cream flat cap, light coloured flannel trousers, light coloured shirt n tie and a light coloured zip up jacket? Wear what you want and if some fashion guru from Woodhouse sniggers at you for wearing what you want then tell him to shove his polo shirt where the sun don't shine.

I think basically if you are a fat raspberry it's usually advisable to wear looser fitting clothing. Another negative aspect to the modern materials football shirts are made of is that they generate some serious body odour.

They are designed for athletes to play sport in. If your a middled aged geezer with c-cup moobs & a paunch you can balance a tray of lagers on, chances are you will not look good wearing one.

Do you go round judging folk if they're wearing stags shirts? What's the point? might not look great but they're representing our club.

I see Notts are having a new shirt unveiling for season ticket holders
to see & buy the new shirt before it goes on general sale .
I think it's a great idea & maybe something we should look to do for the future , it could
entice more season ticket holders & would be a good occasion
