I know it's changing from Player to Ifollow (or something like that) but does this mean it's no longer Martin and Dean doing commentaries?

No this service is for blind people apparently.
So it'll just be inside the ground.
Why on earth they don't just say that I don't know.

Can't they pump Martin and Nigel's commentary?

None of us would do a better job, it's a facto.

I totally agree.
There must be a better way of relaying our own stellar commo
to people inside the ground who need it than paying a third party to
make money out of the situation and do an inferior job. [In my opinion]
Not sure what the deal is with these 'alanmarchsport' people.
Maybe they supply earpieces etc. and maybe they're fantastic value.
Anyone else heard of them?

This is a specialist service for blind people, run entirely by a third party company.

The club asked for thoughts about it last August, see viewtopic.php?p=606453#p606453

Here is an explanation of audio description: http://www.alanmarchsport.com/audiodescription

interesting reading through a blog about what audio description is supposed to do.

I would call it a requirement for what any commentator should provide: a crystal clear description of what is going on on the pitch at all times, with no unnecessary peripheries.

You also need clarity, fact and passion..... Everything that is already provided by Martin and Nigel.

Nathan Edge is an easily accessible blind Stags fan. I wonder what his thoughts are on the current commentary team?

Let's hope TDH doesn't apply for t'job then. Never heard a commentator talk about anything and everything else so much other than what was happening in front of him on t'pitch.
