Not sure the idea is good from a League 2 perspective as it potentially gives tin pot poorly supported clubs a chance of nicking a promotion.
Had we still been in the hell hole though, we'd obviously love the idea.

I'd assume 2nd and 3rd place would play their one off games at home.
Effectively you would expect these teams to be the bigger fish in the Conference, playing at home against smaller clubs who triumphed in their 4th V 7th and 5th V 6th games.
The pressure on the bigger clubs to win at home against minnows would be bigger than over two legs, so it wouldn't surprise me to see smaller clubs getting results on the counter away from home in this format.
