Like I stated further up, it was bound to come with add-ons and a sell on clause

It's what you do if you rate a player.

Feels like he's been bought as the next Watkins by the club. Ticks all the boxes to be like this but as someone else pointed out so did Ollie Palmer... his stats pre-injury are pretty good so it's a gamble on him rediscovering this type of form.

the difference from Ollie Palmer is that Angol has scored goals in league one and the Conference.

Ollie palmer was a panic buy. The fact he's still playing in league 2 shows how little homework some clubs do before signing a player.
i would prefer not to.

With the Radfords backing Evans , Steve has to get it right . I can excuse certain signings mid season and in the loan window . Arquin was a poor signing . I wasn't too impressed with Shaq. Steve brought up on a few occasions about the poor signings of Murray but imo Green and Rose were better than the two strikers he brought in .

I'm quite happy with the signings he's made so far . I think Angol will be a good signing but I still think we could do with a bit of experience up front .

Although it didn't work out, I wouldn't describe Palmer as a panic buy. He was the top scorer in his league and worth a punt. Id quite happily take a punt on a non league striker every season. 4 out of 5 may not work out but it is a reasonable risk as there is a lot of potential talent and profit lower down.
The Stags are for life, not just for cup finals. (or Liverpool).

Didn't he sign about a week before the season started?
When Coxy realised he couldn't get anyone else in?
Looked pretty panicky to me.
Agree about taking a punt though. At the right price.

Wasn't that because Greenie let us down and signed for Birmingham at last minute.

Can't disagree with that, the only question is whether he can do it after injury. His time at Lincoln suggests yes but it was only in the conference. That said I have faith that Evans has done his homework on this one.

Angol will be a quality buy. Anderson (aka Ando) and MacDonald will provide a lot of opportunities for him. just watch.
There is one formidable adversary that Arsene Wenger has yet to defeat; it's Arsene Wenger's Coat.

Palmer was not a panic buy. He'd scored a shed load of goals in Conf South and was a reasonable punt at the time, in my opinion. I'd watched him for Havant and for Woking and thought he looked a good goalscorer.

We talk about that waste-man Palmer all the time.
