Hope Shaq was just giving White a lift then going back because that would put a dent in my optimism.

I'd be delighted if we signed White . Very unsure about Shaq .
Maybe Fry has come to take one of our players from us .

That would be fantastic, wouldn't it?

Shaq is a little box of tricks and I like him.

Talk about people jumping on the bandwagon. The only player who deserved the harsh criticism they received was Ollie Palmer. That was because he was terrible at football and seemingly a total prat.

Shaq Coulthirst would be a good signing.

You keep saying Shaq is a box of tricks but he had been here 4 months and I saw one trick. Unless the following count as tricks??

- Not passing to team mates in better positions.
- Slowing down a counter attack to a snails pace.
- Not passing at all!!!
- Falling over the ball.

Taylor is an odd one if we bid for him in January I would have thought he would be high on the priority list but he's been released so nowt to do with Jolly Fry

Great story from Harry Redknapp about pulling a fast one on Barry Fry when he signed Mark Newson for Bournemouth - 25m 30s

https://www.acast.com/thebiginterviewwi ... first-half

"Unlucky Barry!"

The Carl Richards story is also good - 33m 30s

when I've seen him, he's played well more than he's played badly.

When he's played badly, he hasnt been the worst Mansfield player, and in general, the whole team under-performed.

I saw Whitman do a few 'invisible man' impressions and not once did he get called out for it.

I hope it's Haydon White all round player comfortable on the ball gets up n down the wing puts in a decent cross solid at the back 4 players in 1.

I consider releasing Green the right move for all parties, but I'd have kept him above signing Shaq. A poor mans Derek Asamoah.

JR won't pay fee for White so unless that's been sorted not sure he will be back.

I haven't seen that anywhere either. Only thing I can think of is the article published in last week of the season, when Fry said SE fancied White, but the chairman wasn't paying. Said at the time, I wouldn't expect anything to be sorted in that week as we were still playing for a P/off place, so wasnt surprised JR wasn't saying anything yet. Now - it's a different matter.

Get White in and that's the defence done and dusted for me.

Rose, Spencer, Shaq, and a marquee signing would be a strong 4. Rose gets a lot of credit for his work rate but I feel he is a very good finisher as well. He got a pretty good return for us last year and must have missed nearly half the games. I'd back him to get close to 20 goals with a full year up top. Really want that main man up top though to sign, don't know who that would be though!

A few days ago we were lead to believe it was Marc McNulty. Hope this is still the case.

"JR won't pay a fee for white" Fry said that a few weeks ago....

Why would he agree a fee when we signed him in january if he wasn't prepared to buy him now. I think we'll get him or someone better.
