That's a cracking signing, hes constantly played regularly and scored plenty in league one and championship and only 28 years of age.

Well played Stevie Evans

Just on my way back from hospital after a knee op, proper cheered me up. Great signing. Isn't he from these parts?

brought up in Melton Mowbray. Played a lot for Forest.

Good luck with your recovery from the op.

Exactly what's needed we could have Costa up front but without the ammunition we ain't going to be scoring many .

 First time I've ever been downgraded in 29 yrs. Routine old age arthroscopy, still smarted a bit.

Bizarrely Martin my Op was in Peterborough and I was just passing Melton Mowbray so technically I was spot on!

Get well soon Rob.

Make sure you've still got your sense of humour & it's not been stolen by someone in Peterborough who needs one... Peterborough folk generally seem to be devoid of any sense of humour.

Oh, & that's a brilliant signing.

Decent signing.

Most of Evans' signings seem to be from Northampton or Peterborough. Anybody would think that he lived in that neck of the woods.

I used to work with his Dad over in Melton Mowbray when Paul would have been about 15/16 and was in the system at West Brom. I remember when West Brom told him that he was being released his Dad (knowing I was a Mansfield fan) asked me to get in touch with Mansfield to ask for a trial. I/we wrote twice but never got a response and after a few unsuccessful trials elsewhere he thought he was going to have to give it up, then Hull asked him up for a trial and offered him a deal, and then he signed for Liverpool within a season or two. I'm fairly sure I bemoaned it on here at the time.
Controlled & Clueless. If this is the big life, well I ain't looking to live it.
