This is a nightmare for Mez and JR if we have to play our first home game after heavy rain all day after spending £75k on it. I would be on the phone to the Football League to postpone the game until tomorrow night to protect the pitch.

It could still be a bit wet tomorrow night, and perhaps even Saturday. It could cut up slightly. Best postpone all games until it's dried out completely.

Just popped to Field Mill to get my ticket after youth team game at Rainworth. New drainage system looks like it is working well. Could not see any puddles on the pitch. I think the game will go ahead. The rumours at Rainworth were that Steve Evans wants to get the game played.
