It's hardly surprising, is it?

I agree Doomy. Not a day goes by without Lincoln being mentioned on this forum. Does their forum constantly talk about us? Yes, we know that their attendances have risen as a result of their excellent season. So what?

The obsession with any other club is staggering. That's what's wrong with our mindset. We worry about others to much instead of just concentrating on MTFC.

Correspondingly how many did we sell the first season back? Did we crack 2000 in the three and a half months of that particular close season? A figure surpassed by Lincoln in a week.

Yeah, yeah I know you'll all start with 'Coxy crap football', 'wanted to pay on turnstiles like the old days', etc, etc stuff, but City (from what I've seen of em) were very much in our style playwise. It wasn't Barcaesque tippy tappy stuff, they just got on with it and got the job done whichever way they could. Their supporters backed them with gates. But with our town it was any excuse under the sun to stay away.

Fair play to Lincoln, but they're a slightly bigger club than us anyway, were probably the smallest league side in the East Midlands, so I don't expect us to get as much.

Well done to them for getting 2,500 applications, we didn't manage that in our first season and we won't this season.

And not only that, some still find something to moan about when things are currently so positive.

What happened to the other 75% of.fans that turned up at the end of season promotion.. more of a worry that only 1 in 4 people have put their money back into the club

I said when cheltenham stormed to the league they would struggle because they were a bag of horse shitee and i was right. Ive not seen lincoln play as much as i did cheltenham but they're a similar side. Slightly more league experience in the lincoln side though so i imagine they'll be ok but nothing to worry about, bit like grimsby.

I would be very disappointed if we didn't sell over 2,500 season tickets in fact I think it will be closer to 3,000. :D

:) if we get the two big name strikers in and this would really push season ticket sales up .
just hope we get the right two strikers in because with rose we would be real handful .
Get off to a flyer in the new season, this should get the supporters behind us through out the season .

Perhaps they have a structured pricing system for their supporters unlike here.
They were successful last season and reward their fans, we fail and stick another £2 on the admission.

I lived in Lincoln for a couple of years. There's not a lot to do on a Saturday afternoon other than watch the Lancaster fly by or inspect your sugar beet fields. So they go to the football instead

Do we want promotion or not? I do, so don't mind the price going up slightly to help JR. Why should he foot the bill on his own.
