It's all agent ballhocks.

I'd be surprised if Green signed for a team that finished any higher than us this year.
i would prefer not to.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he signed for a club higher & bigger than us. He is a class player with a good goal scoring record.

Impossible to confirm, but I dare say Boulding had less chances than Green over those games. He played in some shocking teams

Very good interview, I really wish him the best, Hes been hero for us and is a legend.

I still think that had he not been constantly dropped and switched to the wing then dropped again and really given a run of games he would of got close to 20 this season. Evans should of seen he was the clubs top scorer and gee'd him up and tried to get him firing, bringing shaq in proved to be a mistake the helped to the demise of greenie.

I do believe he's had offers and interest from league two to the championship but feel he will stay in league two to play as many games he can.

Quite possibly true Tibbsy.

That said, Boulding never played in a 10-1 formation ;)

Wish him all the best, and i'm sure 'his goals for' will be well into double figures next year

A class interview from a class performer, its clear Steve wasn't impressed by him and that got Matt down, with the right manager and the right tactics Greeny will score goals and without him we could still possibly be rattling around in that Cess Pit underneath us

Well he shouldn't have much trouble getting fixed up then. He deserves to go to a decent club and I wish him well. The truth is, he didn't reach our expectations last season under SE or AM.

Maybe if he had bagged a few of those "sitters" he fluffed right under Evans nose Matt would still be a Stag next season,
Evans obviously thought he could get more goals elsewhere for the sort of dollar Matt was earning,
Wherever Matt ends up it will be interesting to see if his form returns, Good luck to him..Forever grateful for him getting us back to the Football league.

I get the impression that at this stage in his career, Greeny wants gametime and minimum disruption to his family...unless of course there was stupid money on offer which I can't see coming for someone 30 years old.

It makes me think Lincoln or Clownty, or perhaps a return to Oxford.

I agree with Steiner, it wasn't his face didn't fit, it was the fact he could no longer hit a barn door with a banjo. A new club may do him some good, but it was 100% the correct decision to let him go.

It's a shame, as Greeny is one of my favourite ever Stags' players, but I trust Evans to get the right team in for the job. If it didn't fit, there's little room for sentiment. Remember the good times and move on. Green conducted himself with graciousness and class after leaving so I wish him all the best wherever he goes. If he ended up playing for one of our rivals, I'd still want to see him succeed.
