Was just thinking that myself.

Also can't work out if Gary Johnson has genetic dwarfism that he's been hiding all these years or whether the Elijah bloke is simply just extraordinarily tall.

One for Martin. Peterborough continue to sign promising players from non-league football

Does anyone know if a scarf being worn or held aloft is a contractual requirement of a signing on photo?

It looks like Ben Whiteman is available. Get in there Stevie boy and make it difficult for Donny Rovers to sign him.

As great a signing as it’d be, there’s absolutely zero chance of Ben Whiteman signing for any club currently in League Two, whether that’s on loan or permanently.

He'll be with us in 18 months for half the price when Ferguson gets the sack and the new manager wants his own players.

Paul Green is an interesting signing for Crewe. He's won League 1 and 2 promotions with Donny Rovers. I wondered if he could do a job for us in centre midfield but he's 34 now and has not played much at Oldham this season.

Would be like the signing of Ricky Ravenhill.

Paul Green in his prime was one of the best midfield players I've seen in the lower divisions. He was miles better than Ricky Ravenhill as he played for Derby, Leeds and Rotherham in The Championship. Many Donny fans were disappointed that Darren Ferguson did not sign him last season after playing in a pre-season friendly for them. Ferguson said at the time that they could not afford his wages. However he's now 34 (35 in April) so his best days are probably behind him especially as he was a box to box high energy midfield player.

Why are you worried? You can also add to your first comment we have lost........

County have lost Yates, probably grant too. Lincoln have lost a few defenders most influentially Raggett other teams are being forced into panic buying with no guarantee these signings will deliver.

We are top of the form table after the last 4 games, we have lost 1 in 19 games.

Evans has said himself we will strengthen, but we aren't buying for the sake of buying. It may be we don't do business until deadline day - so be it.

What is refreshing is that we aren't a selling club, with JR at the helm we don't need to sell to keep a float. We only want to strengthen.

Just be patient.

Agree, if the right players are available and want to sign we will, otherwise stay as we are

Totally agree with this. Whilst other clubs loaned in their "better" players in the summer, we went early and signed them on a contract. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we've only got Hemmings on a loan. Everybody else is having to build again, and we're just looking to strengthen. Always thought we'd be stronger second half of the season. Now it's coming to fruition. No panic from me.
