Luton on Easter BHMs & promotion...

Postby Johnny Rotten » Sun Apr 16, 2017 3:16 pm

Oh look another promotion thread

I'll keep it short

If memory serves me well the last time we faced Luton on an Easter BHM we got stuffed 5-2 but ended up getting promoted out of the now called League Two?

Luton also got promoted that season as did Plymouth

Same end result please but not the result or outcome at circa 5pm tomorrow, ta

Us & Loooun can't both get promoted this time around. Top 3 is all but sorted & for us to make the top 7 we need to scupper the slim chance they have of catching Pompey.

Much as I detest the mockney raspberries, if we don't go up this season I'd like Looun to go up with Donny, Plymouth & Pompey. It gets the four biggest hitters in terms of support & budgets out of the way for next season

It was 5-3 Dave. Scott Sellars scored with a gorgeous chip.

Remember that day well. I had a drink in the Eric Morecambe bar before the game. We left Sir Chris of Greenacre on the bench that day if I'm not mistaken. Of course he came on and scored one of our goals. Think it was the day The Queen Mother died as well or have I got that wrong?

No, I'm pretty sure she's dead.

here you go

Bobby Hassell 8 and not written by me. The scoreline was harsh, as was the parade I had to attend due to the untimely death of t'Q Mum aged 3,476.
