A choir of one

Postby stag861 » Sat Apr 15, 2017 9:25 am

There we are, being pounded in the second half by the chairboys. We Stags fans are tense and strangely quiet. Bitten fingernails prevail on the end of white knuckles. And then one lonely young voice "Woke up this morning feeling fine .......", Over and over and over again, he sang solo. Not quite Aled Jones but good enough. The Stags fans remained still until a low rumble of "Yellows, yellows" took over from the lead of the choirmaster. The silence was broken. What a difference from one of our newest supporters compared to those at Donny who went looking for trouble.
Whoever he was, he and his parents deserve free tickets in the IGL singing section until the end of the season.
Well done lad.

It could have been my lad - Josh. We were on the back row, slightly left of the net. There were a couple of young singers but couldn't get in time with each other!

There were 2 young lads and one was mine.

We were at the top of the stairs directly behind the goal.
We need to get the pair of them together next time.
