Win against top side

Postby steve-hymas » Sun Mar 19, 2017 2:57 pm

There has been a lot of banter thrown about regarding us against top sides.
Well Mansfield 2 Carlisle 0 puts that one to bed.greeny got a goal so the monkeys off his back.Shaq scored from open play.A great crowd of nearly 4000 home fans .Its time for some positivity on this message board and we can get to the promised land .
Great to have the manager sat with us and his passion is beyond compare. He is inspirational .
Oh ! And the youth team won 3-1 against Hartlepool .zayne coming on to score two from the bench.
Up the stags !

I agree Steve, I made the point earlier on another thread about the videos. It was great to see the reaction in the Directors box:- Carolyn and John cheering the team on, Steve Hymas singing 'Greenie' and a guest appearance by Steve Evans! What a fantastic infrastructure we have at this club. That makes me more happpy and proud than anything else - regardless of whether we get promotion this year.
It's a good time to be a Stags fan - and it's nice to be able to sit back and appreciate it.

Steve,

Just heard that young Cain Smith has gone away on loan.

Will we be seeing him back or is that the last of him at the club, always thought he'd be one of the top contenders to make it into the first team.

It was a win against a top side (position wise), but Carlisle are shot.

Exeter will be a much sterner test, but I have a feeling we're going to go on a run!

Cain's replacement Keaton Ward had a storming game in his first start for the U18s.
He's had a troubled few days and to put in a performance like that does him credit.
