Green is getting in the right places but looks rusty because he's not played a decent run of games, for what its worth with 9 games to go and with greens record id stick with him.

If he plays saturday he'll score

I'm not convinced to be honest. He had 2 really good chances yesterday that he didn't even get on target. I genuinely hope you're right though.

A few thoughts from watching that:

White was exposed defensively again. Both goals can from right back, although he was dreadfully isolated for the first.
Green - it looks like poor technique rather than rustiness to me. Even the 'goal' that was (incorrectly, but perhaps not surprising) disallowed, his second touch was atrocious. That said, Id stick with him for the next few games. Evans' chopping and changing of the strikers has had a real negative effect recently.
Bennett - its not unreasonable that with a bit more look and composure he could be our top scorer. He must get two or three good opportunities every game.

Its clear that people are putting a lot of pressure on our strikers but the rest of the team needs to step up as well.

Their goals both came from their left wing with White exposed. Macdonald isn't doing enough to help White out.

Problem is with MacDonald, he has started 6 games and we haven't won one yet.

I agree, terrible decision from the ref. Never a foul

How we've not scored a goal is completely mystifying me, must be even worse for SE + PR

Id actually question the centre halves for the first. Had they moved across 5 yards he would have run straight into them. Either that or Collins should be spotting that MacDonald is out of position and come across.

I don't think the problem is MacDonald per se. He has looked decent, obviously has quality and works hard. But his inclusion has upset the balance of the team. I think the problem is fitting him into a system that gets the best out of him. Having two holding midfielders in Collins and Byron should give him (and White) some security to play in the attacking half. Perhaps moving Whiteman back to play from the right where he started so successfully may be the answer.

Just watched the highlights and the finishing from our forwards isn't Sunday league.

I bet SE was very upset after the match.

Green is and always has been a confidence player. I can imagine Evans not mixing his words in the changing rooms in recent weeks with the chances the strikers and also some of the others have missed.

However Green probably is one player who does not react well to Evans screaming and shouting. He is in my opinion still our best option of someone who could score 6-8 goals in the remaining games to see us into the play offs.

Fingers crossed he gets one soon and goes on a run like he is capable
