That Song

Postby SINA STAG » Tue Mar 14, 2017 11:29 pm

Is jinked since we've adopted it has our own chant the goals have dried up....

Boycott the song

Agreed, let's stop singing it and go back to no atmosphere.
I'm sure the silence will spur our team on for promotion.

I'm afraid it's all my fault. While we were on the run I was wearing 2 sweaters but when it got warmer I discarded one at Grimsby and look what has happened. Sorry everyone

It's a Manure dirge anyway, why copy those lot. Why not have a song of our own with some originality and one to be proud of and simple to learn.

And no please God not Yellows as that is just plain embarassing

You moan when we have low crowds and 'apathy' and now when we have improved attendances and some enthusiasm, you're still moaning.

And the song isn't Man Utd's. Peterborough started it.

Give over Paris, why can we not have a song with some originality, that's what I'm talking about.

Still awaiting your effort pal seeing as though you want some 'originality'.

Oh wait, your idea of being clever is moving the numbers around when mentioning a local radio station. Dullard.

Back to the song, I could have sworn we had 4 games with a hat full of goals when the song started? We were singing it when we beat Hartlepool, when we put four past Accrington for starters... give your head a shake.

Was rocking at Barnet away this song and on the tube after.

P.s Paris it was an FC United song first pal.

I like the song and that a substantial number of Stags fans were engaged in relentlessly singing it.

However, you can have too much of the same thing and there is a "tedium threshold" to avoid.

Even the choir seemed a little bored with "Feelin' fine" at the Plymouth game. Perhaps it's time for something new?

I do agree, its nice when a song goes for for a good 10mins at a time, mix it up come back to it again later.

Yes, that's what you're talking about, but why can't you say it, or anything for that matter, without betraying the massive chip you have on your shoulder regarding our fans?

It's a big un but I'm not tempted Benedict. Keep on casting youth.

Now you're just being silly Paris, there was a post 6 years ago by me in which the word apathy or the fans never came in to it
