Proud of them when we win and proud of them when we lose.
We started the game very brightly but disaster struck after five minutes when Zayne Hakeem pulled up with a twisted ankle and had to go off.Feel for the lad as he was off on International duty this weekend, but lets wait and see.
On with the game and it was really a case of us dominating territory and Rotherham hitting on the break.Kieren Harrison however put us 1-0 up on 40 minutes then for the last five minutes we had them penned in and hit the woodwork as it ping ponged around in their box.I said at the time we could rue missed chances and so it turned out.1-0 half time.
I dont know what the manager said at half time but Rotherham upped the pace and pressed forward. They had a big strong forward that featured against us in a reserve game earlier in the season and he again caused problems. He eventually got the equaliser and they went for the jugular. They brought on another big coloured lad (is that the right terminology Martin) and the pair of them were a right handfull.
We did have our own chances but it was more really on the break.Eventually Tom Marriot was dis-possessed on the half way line and they broke forward and yes you guessed it,from a cross the big number 9 headed home. 2-1 full time and its 2 losses on the trot. We now await results from today to see how we lie.
Looking at it retrospectively we had both our big powerfull forwards out .Zayne with his ankle and Ashanti Price out for a few weeks with a hamstring and we did miss their presence.Rotherham had that in their locker and was really the difference in the sides as our boys competed well.On the face of it Rotherham could be the favourites for the league if they keep the strikers fit.
On to the next game boys.Chins up. Come on you stags !
