AFC Chesterfield would be just perfect.

Not all of them did, some tried to help us. I don't want any lower league football club to go bust, that includes our rivals. If belmer had his wish, all our rivals would go bust, leaving what, a local derby v Stevenage?

The only reason it would be sad would be because we'd lose our derby with them. I don't care about their fans.

Well that's not the case though is it? For whilst he may want to see the total demise of those from the dark side and the care homers, like myself, he also wants to see ourselves rise to higher standards. Therefore we would have new derby's. Florest instead of Clownty. Mutton molesters instead of Lamb limpits.
Throw in two visits to Sheffield, three to Birmingham (ish) and one to Leeds. His plan gets my vote.

Exactly. Think small, be small.
Hey ThRob. Free your mind.

He's the proverbial bitter old man that sits in the corner of every pub.
Alone, angry & hating the world that he thinks hates him.

They'll always be our rivals whether in this league, the one above, or in the East Midlands Counties League.
Let's not get too bertie big balls about it like they did.

What’s not free thinking about wanting our enemies to suffer? Could you finesse that one out for me? What’s not free thinking in that ? You truly misunderstand rivalry. We should be wanting the worst for them, just like they did for us. Your weak attitude is embarrassing. You’re such a Blue Job.

We'd win the league if we'd started the season with Sir Jack
Are you all still grinning?
I think that our visit in April is going to be one of the highlights of our recent history as we celebrate the situation at the top and bottom of the league, we should join in with the spireites when they chant their support of SJL as we must recognise he has done more to lift our mood than theirs.
Win the league with SJL ............ keep the (blind) faith, maybe next year

There you go again, imagining things that aren’t there. I believe in 100pc in everything I am a passionate about. I want you lot down and I want you lot out. It’s not so hard to imagine. I remember how we felt and how you lot rubbed it in. Well, it is our turn now. Maybe it’s an Army thing, but this is a sporting war and the only thing that I care about is total victory.
Mind that Gap, Chopper.

But for many of us they’re also our friends, family and neighbours who just happen to to like the blue team and not the amber team.
My kids go to school in the local area and I coach grassroots football with a club linked to their community trust.
If they go out of business it will have a massive knock on effect to the local economy and to the lads i’m trying to help love the game.
If they suffer a few years in te conference whilst we prosper then i’ll be able to brag about it whilst i teach their kids how to play the Mansfield way!

They've been an endless source of amusement for the last 3 years and long may it continue.
