To be fair he has a point - It's neither Stags or L2 related!

I think Allen knows what he's doing.

Seems everyone who went enjoyed it and they'll hope not to have to go back.

A very good turn out too, warmly welcomed by Ebsfleet.

Fairly average, one shot on target of note, a free one from 12yrs out. Game turned on bringing on a 37yr old and only then turned by virtue that the visitors nullified the home sides attacking options. Chesterfield for the final 25mins looked well organised at the back but up front offered virtually nothing.

That's terrible defending! Anyone would think the Grimsby players have bet on themselves to lose.

Clearly plenty do.

Anyway, another step on the long ladder back up.

The signs are good and an attendance that shows the true gulf between our clubs (off the pitch for now).

Cheaper at Mansfield on Saturday for an adult and a child.

In two small family sections of the ground that sell out quite quickly.

I see your attendance included 517 no shows.

Tinpot club includes folk who don't turn up.

An attendance last night of 4,930 cannot be sniffed at.

Despite two seasons that ended in relegation and an owner they are at odds with, they have kept a decent following.

Martin Allen seems to have given them some hope.

But there is a long way to go.

If things start to go pear shape that will test the fan's loyalty.

A good start for the Spireites with a decent crowd but they have Barrow, Salford and Hartlepool away coming up.

it's when or if they miss out at the end of the season, and the thought of a prolonged stay down there that crowds will drop, at the moment although not desirable it's new and fresh and full of hope.

What do you mean 517 no shows? Are you saying the attendance was not the number of people through the turnstiles?

As was said earlier, do we have to keep posting about a club that is now non-league?
There'll be a lot of frustration with people if results keep going they way we don't want. Let the thread end, the mission was accomplished, but anyone who thinks they won't be back sooner rather than later, might be disappointed.
