Can't think of a single player who looked off it all evening, front to back. The only criticism being the feeble gate. Too many fair weather local based fans happy to stay in the warmth, watching Champions League. The hardy few got a very nice reward. And Newport got off lightly at 5; it really ought to have been 7-8.

I think there are many reasons for the gate being what it was.

1) Poor area so fans generally pick their games a bit more and saving for bigger games.

2) It was really bloody cold tonight. Thank god the flurry of goals last night kept me moving.

3) It's midweek before half term. People could be saving money for then.

All attendances were down tonight. It's just the way it is. We had more than we would of had in the past.

Can't wait to read Martin's match report - once they've surgically removed the commentary microphone from his trachea! :P

That'll teach them to make us play the wrong way in the first half

I think it's Newport who played the wrong way!

The Man City game would have been nice to have, but I think we might have suffered in the league too, so I'm glad it played out like this.

Didn't affect Lincoln much last season.

Pole dancing I think. Or is it Pipe dancing? Just shows how strong David Pipe is, he didn't even seem to slow up on the night. Funny though.
Who are you calling pedantic? I resemble that remark!

Think Rose was trying to get an extra booking so he can have a rest soon.
Can we play Accrington Stanley every week.
