OLLERTON prospect Alex John-Baptiste has marked his 17th birthday by signing his first professional contract - a three and a half year deal with Mansfield Town.

John-Baptiste, a former player with Ollerton and Drezden in the Mansfield Town Youth League, is a highly promising defender.
He has achieved his first ambition by turning professional and, after the odd apperance on the first team bench so far this season, wants a regular first team berth as soon as possible for his next target.
Setting high standards, his main ambition is to captain England!

A full interview with Baptiste and player-manager Keith Curle on the signing will apear in next Wednesday's Chad - don't miss it.
