The nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month award for September have been announced.

They are as follows:-

Etienne Esajas (Scunthorpe United)
The Dutchman's dancing feet helped give an edge to his team going forward in an unbeaten month. Always prepared to take players on, happy to hare down the wing or cut inside, Esajas stole in to score the only goal against Plymouth Argyle.

Alan Marriott (Mansfield Town)
A stirring display of shot stopping in the 1-0 derby win at Chesterfield was the highlight of a month in which he conceded just two goals. Marriot also performed heroically, flinging himself around, in the 3-0 win over Northampton Town.

Abu Ogogo (Dagenham and Redbridge)
Once a right-back, the 23-year-old has been converted into a tough-tackling central midfielder with an eye for goal. Ogogo has assumed the captaincy and driven his team on, bursting forward to score against Bristol Rovers and Morecambe.

Antoni Sarcevic (Fleetwood Town)
The summer signing from Chester is elegant in possession, but it is his power that stands out. His three September goals featured a firm header and a 20-yarder against Torquay United, and another screamer against Bury.

The winners will be announced on Friday live on Sky Sports News.

Manager of the Month nominations
Posted on: 01.10.2013

The nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Manager of the Month award for September have been announced.

They are as follows:-

Jim Bentley (Morecambe)
Bentley guided his side through an unbeaten month which had three tricky away fixtures out of four. He sent his team out to attack, scoring three times each in the wins at Southend United and Newport County, in a haul of eight points in September.

Paul Cook (Chesterfield)
Cook has his team playing delightful one-touch football - and with an end result, too. Three wins out of four in September, including one over fellow pacesetters Oxford United and AFC Wimbledon, kept them clear at the top of League 2.

Paul Cox (Mansfield Town)
Cox has adapted to life as a Football League manager with ease. An unbeaten month with 10 points from 12. The highlight was a hard-fought 1-0 victory at fierce rivals Chesterfield which ended the home side's unbeaten record.

Keith Hill (Rochdale)
12 points from 12 for Hill this month as Rochdale began to show some of the swagger that characterised the manager's first spell at the club. His straight talking fits the club perfectly and helped to lift them into the early season Play-Off positions.

The winners will be announced on Friday live on Sky Sports News.
