Magnificent Mansfield Town youth team massacred Macclesfield away 4-0 on Saturday.
The Stags were already 9 points clear at the top of the table.
The Stags youth team travelled to Congleton to play Macclesfield having lost only 1 league game this season. It was David Rew who opened up the account with a well taken penalty following a foul on Craig Mitchell. It was a relief to Rew who missed out on a penalty last week.
It was the tenacious Chris Beardsley who moments later added to the Silkmen's misery when Lazarus put a through ball 20 yards shy of the goal and Beardsley steamed in to rocket home for number 2. Craig Mitchell got the third to put the Silkmen on a back foot - and all this in only twenty minutes of play.
It was David Rew who eventually put the game totally out of reach when he won the ball, went about his crusade to score again and was presented with no problems at scoring the stags fourth.
