JOHN& CAROLYN RADFORD & PAUL COX ON TALK SHOW
14th September 2012 22:27

14 Sept 2012

Two great Stags talk shows:

Mansfield 103.2 Friday Night Football Forum with Jason Harrison. Listen live from 6pm on 103.2 on Friday, or listen to the podcast here.

Some bits transcribed by Martin Shaw here:

Mansfield 103.2 Football Forum, with guests John Radford, Carolyn Radford, Paul Cox.

John Radford: I blame myself a little bit because my opening statement was I want to smash this league and I hope I've given Paul the resources to do that. But then it's a case of Paul's got to put it all together, and it takes a little bit of time. And I'm not going to swap my manager for a long time.

Paul Cox: What we try and do ... last season the ball goes to Ross Dyer and we try to put it in good areas. We've not changed our style from this year to last year.
We need to get our consistency back, what we do, what we're good at, and get good results.
Will Pilks get back in ... will Thommo get back in ... of course, but it's a matter of timing.

John Radford: If you look at this league, we're probably the Man City of this league.
(Jason says: he was winking when he said that).

Paul Cox: John Dempster is in our plans. John came to us really late in in the pre-season, probably lacking a bit of match fitness. He came to me and said he needed to go out on loan and play conference football for a month. John Thompson has been on the bench numerous times - he will get his chance. If I put John Thompson in tomorrow, then I get another 3 players knocking on me door, and I get 50 fans asking me why someone else isn't playing.
