Here's my selection of the best saves of the season so far by the Blue Square Bet Premier's top goalkeeper Alan Marriott. Between now and the end of the season, I will put together video clips of the best ones. Have I missed any? If so, get in touch at martin-shaw@thestags.freeserve.co.uk

Mansfield Town 1 - 1 Luton Town
On 10 minutes, Amari Morgan-Smith was through down the left, and his shot brought a great save from Marriott, tipping the ball past the right post.

Wrexham 1 - 3 Mansfield Town
On 40 seconds the Stags conceded a free kick right on the edge of the box, it must have been virtually touching the paint. Fowler took the kick and fired it towards the top left corner. It looked a certain goal, but Alan Marriott made a magnificent save, somehow clawing it away with his outstretched right arm. I think it was the save of the season so far.

Bath City 1 - 1 Mansfield Town
On 83 minutes, Freeman gave the ball away in a dangerous position, and eventually Hogg's shot brought a great save from Marriott.

Mansfield Town 1 - 1 Gateshead
On 86 minutes, 2 great saves from Marriott as kept out Jon Shaw and James Marwood from close range.

Grimsby Town 0 - 0 Mansfield Town
On 22 minutes the Stags nearly gifted Grimsby the lead. Dempster played a suicidal square ball across the back from a right back position, which was intercepted by Luke McCarthy in the middle, he powered forward and sent in a shot from the edge of the box that Marriott parried away, then John Thompson was just able to clear away before Elding could head in the loose ball, and finally Marriott made a terrific save on his line from Hearn's powerful close range shot.
More great shot-stopping from Marriott on 60 minutes as he superbly tipped over Coulson's brilliant effort from the edge of the box.
Another incredible save from Marriott on 83 minutes. Former Stags striker Rob Duffy was just on as substitute, and he received a square ball across the edge of the penalty area, and sent a shot goalwards that seemed to wrong-foot Marriott, but Marriott somehow got his left heel to the ball and deflected it up and over the bar.

Mansfield Town 1 - 1 York City
On 80 minutes, Matt Blair seemed to be through on goal and was just about to pull the trigger when O'Neill made a great tackle to prevent the shot inside his own box, and the rebound fell for sub Jamie Reed whose shot seemed to be heading for the top corner but Marriott produced a great save to tip it over.

York City 2 - 2 Mansfield Town
A great save from Marriott on 20 minutes, as Henderson's shot was goalbound until Marriott, who had slipped and was on his knees, still managed to turn it up and over the bar.
An incredible save from Marriott on 83 minutes kept Mansfield in front. A deflection saw the ball loop up in the air to Jamie Reed in the box in front of goal. Marriott was out to make himself big and as Reed shot, it hit Marriott's legs.

Newport County 1 - 0 Mansfield Town
A brilliant save from Marriott on 75 minutes as his clearance from a Riley backpass was straight to Nat Jarvis. Jarvis sent his shot back goalwards and it was heading for the left corner of the net until Marriott tipped it wide.

Mansfield Town 2 -1 Tamworth
On 25 minutes, a double chance for Tamworth, following a corner, as Marriott made a superb save to deny left back Barrow diving to his right, and the rebound shot from Marna was cleared off the line by Briscoe..

Alfreton Town 3 - 6 Mansfield Town
On 8 minutes, Marriott made a fantastic save tipping away a Moult volley which was heading for the top right corner.

Fleetwood Town 2 - 0 Mansfield Town
On 22 minutes a fabulous save from Marriott. Goodall's corner from the right was met powerfully by the head of Nathan Pond and Marriott somehow tipped it on to the woodwork and away.
