STAGS SET FOR TV CUP DATE
31st October 2002 13:14

Evening Post, 31 October 2002
Mansfield Town's FA Cup clash with students Team Bath is set to be televised live on Sky and boost the Field Mill club's coffers by £100,000.
Officials from the television company were due to meet local safety officers at Bath University this morning to discuss how the game could be shown on the small screen.
It is understood that the fixture would still take place on Saturday, November 16 with a noon kick-off.
It would be the first time Stags have been featured in a live Sky match since March 2000 when they won 3-2 at Rotherham in a Division Three game, with goals from Micky Boulding, Chris Greenacre and Darrell Clarke.
Team Bath, who beat Horsham on penalties to guarantee a clash with the Stags, are determined to play the game on campus.
The college is planning to use temporary stands to house a crowd of up to 4,000.
University spokesman Bryn Vaile said: "We had a great atmosphere here for the Horsham game and we will be looking at the safety issues."
If the ground proves unsuitable, other alternatives could be Bath City or Bath Rugby Club.
