Tonight's game at Crawley has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The game was called off following a pitch inspection at 10am.
Crawley Town Football Club can confirm that tonight's Blue Square Bet Premier match with Mansfield Town has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
The pitch was inspected at 10am this morning by a qualified referee and after taking into consideration the forecast for the rest of the day, he has declared the match off due to a frozen pitch.

The Crawley CEO was live on BBC Surrey at 7.25am. He said he was standing on the pitch. He said there was a dusting of snow which might do us a favour. He said it was crusty on top, but soft underneath. He said at the moment he couldn't see any reason why the game would be off, but we'd have to see. (Incidently, he did not mention a pitch inspection).

A pitch inspection will take place at 10.00am at Crawley's Broadfield Stadium tomorrow morning.

Club officials have indicated that the pitch is currently playable and that a pitch inspection is a precaution against freezing temperatures forecast across the country for tonight.

Mansfieldtown.net will bring you any news as soon as an outcome is known.
