STAGS AWAY TO FC HALIFAX IN FA CUP
11th October 2010 17:46

11 Oct 2010

Mansfield Town have been drawn away to FC Halifax Town in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round. The Shaymen currently lead the Evo-Stik Premier Division (formerly Unibond Premier, formerly Northern Premier), one step below Blue Square Bet North, and two below the Conference.

The tie will be played on Saturday October 23, 3pm at the Shay.

David Holdsworth told thisisnottingham: "That's going to prove an interesting one – they are an ex-League club with a very healthy following. They are flying at the moment and have come up through the leagues so it is going to be a tough one for us. I know their manager Neil Aspin, an ex-League player and we will have a lot of respect for them. It would have been nice to be at home, but that's the beauty of the cup."
