STAGS SIGN TONY VAUGHAN ON LOAN

mansfieldtown.net reports that Stuart Watkiss has negotiated a deal with Nottingham Forest to bring in defender Tony Vaughan.

Vaughan will arrive at Field Mill tomorrow morning for his first day of training with the Stags, he will then be thrown straight into the action along with Colin Little on Saturday at Swindon.

It is yet to be confirmed whether Watkiss will be allowed to use both of his loan signings in the first round of the F.A Cup next month.

Watkiss also told mansfieldtown.net about Van Heusden, who will play his final game on Saturday: "We can't afford to keep Van now that Pilks is back, we've had to put Bingham on the transfer list for the same reason. Arjan has done a super job for us and I am very greatful. His attitude has been superb and I thank him for his efforts. He would have played on Tuesday but I needed to give Pilks a run before the Cardiff game on Tuesday and with us not having a reserve team game I thought that was the best option."
