HOLDSWORTH JUST MISSES OUT ON MANAGER OF THE MONTH
3rd September 2010 14:40

Stags manager David Holdsworth just missed out on the BSBP manager of the month award for August. Alan Alger from Blue Square announced the awards on the BBC Non-League Show this week (podcast available from BBC website) and explained that AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown got it just in front of David Holdsworth. Alger explained that while Mansfield were top of the league, they had not yet played any of the other sides at the top of the league.

It was also announced on the show that the next batch of games to be shown live on Premier Sports TV will be announced on Wednesday night, and that the commentator will be the excellent Steve Bower, who fronted Setanta's superb live coverage of the Conference two years ago.

Liam Watson: Mansfield Town's David Holdsworth should have been named manager of the month
Sep 3 2010, Southport Visiter

AFC Wimbledon's Terry Brown has been awarded manager of the month for August - but I can help but feel it was given to the wrong man.

David Holdsworth's Mansfield Town are top of the Conference after the first month of games and though it is only on goal difference from Wimbledon and Crawley Town, he still merits the prize in my eyes.

The right man has won the award in the Blue Square Bet North after Nicky Law's Alfreton Town got off to a flyer.
