The 28-year-old Driffield-born boxer and Mansfield Town midfielder won the six-round fight at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane on points. Woodhouse told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I like to knock them out but you can't knock everyone out. "Matt Scriven was two weight divisions above me, so I was hitting him but he wasn't going anywhere." Woodhouse said: "I always felt in control but... boxing's about giving and taking punishment - you can't always give it out you've got to be able to take a bit as well. "I took a few shots tonight but I feel great." Woodhouse signed for Mansfield in January. Manager David Holdsworth has said he is happy for the midfielder to carry on boxing. |
