Stags complete signing of winger Williams
Evening Post, February 27, 2009

MANSFIELD Town have today signed winger Ryan Williams until the end of next season after a successful trial.

The 29-year-old was released by Weymouth at the start of this week after not being paid since the start of the year following the Terras' financial problems.
And, because he is classified as a free agent, it means he has been able to sign for the Stags permanently outside of the transfer window.
Williams will start his second stint at Field Mill by going straight into the squad for tomorrow's trip to Rushden and Diamonds.
He began his career by coming through the ranks at Stags in the early 1990s before moving on to Tranmere Rovers.

"I have spoken to a number of people about Ryan and seen him in training," said boss David Holdsworth.
"He is a quality, skilful wide player who can contribute this season and next."
