Dearden back in transfer market for midfielder

BILY Dearden is to set to plunge straight back into the transfer market to bolster his threadbare midfield with a loan signing before Sunday's tough trip to Peterborough United (2pm).
With Lee Bell already suspended for four games, Stags have now lost Stephen Dawson for two or three weeks with a hamstring strain.

"It is disappointing that two of your midfield players who did so well in your first win of the season last weekend are now out for three or four weeks," he said.

"I will be making a few calls tonight and trying to bring someone in.

"You have to wait seven days after the transfer window closes to bring in a loan player. But, with us playing Sunday, we can sign them Saturday morning before noon.

"I have a few ideas and hope I can sort something out."

Dearden brought in Lee Bullock and Ian Holmes at the end of last week just before the deadline.

And midfielder Bullock is already resting up a tight thigh.
