On loan defender Matt Gadsby has been recalled by his club Walsall. The Stags face an early season injury crisis ahead of their opening game with Plymouth tomorrow. Already without Shayne Bradley, Bobby Hassell, Allen Tankard and Dion Scott the Stags will now have to do with the man who manager Stuart Watkiss eyed as a permanent transfer target. Speaking to the Walsall official web site, Saddlers boss Colin Lee said "Until the situation is confirmed we are left with no option but to recall him. The agreed deal was for a three-month loan with an option to recall the player after the first month if we needed him back. However, if the transfer window comes into being then Matt would not be able to play for us until January and with a squad as small as ours we simply cannot afford to let that situation happen."
