YOUTH TEAM IN ACTION TONIGHT

Stags' youngsters tonight (Wednesday, 7pm) take on Port vale at Field Mill in the Midlands Youth Cup quarter-finals. Admission is £3 adults and £1 children. On Saturday they earned an impressive 1-1 draw with an older and stronger Chesterfield at Forest Town. Lewis Trimmer gave them the lead and only a late free kick saw the Spireites snatch a point. Stags youngster Danny Sleath has gone out on a month's loan to Conference North neighbours Alfreton Town and, as Chad went to press, it looked likely that Chris Wood would also go out for some experience on a month's loan at UniBond Premier side Ilkeston Town. |
