HARTLEPOOL MANAGER INTERVIEW
11th November 2006 23:46

Danny Wilson interview from Friday

Danny Wilson is looking to dip into the loan market within the next seven days to counter the massive blow of losing Joel Porter until after the new year.
And the Hartlepool United manager is also hoping to land a proven hitman on a permanent deal when the transfer window re-opens in January.
Wilson has already got the wheels in motion to bring in reinforcements.
"There would have been no point in doing anything this week because of the cup game but hopefully next week we will be able to do something," Wilson admitted.
"I would like to bring in someone in the January window but there is six weeks of football to be played before then so the loan option is a realistic possibility."
Pools are believed to have been in discussion with Mansfield Town regarding a move for Stags star striker Richie Barker.
But it may be January before Pools make a concrete offer for the Stags skipper.
