Casper: A Workman Like performance

Chris Casper chats after the 0-0 draw with Mansfield Town and looks forward to the final game of the season at Notts County

"It was a workman like performance and got stuck in. We had the best chances and probably deserved to win the game, but all in all, I suppose it's another point towards our safety."

"It would take a freak set of results for us to go down, but we are not looking at it like that, we will go to Notts County and we will try to win the game, as we do for every game."

"It doesn't matter where we play; it's a decent surface at Meadow Lane, but we will go there and hopefully finish it off. We've given ourselves one heck of a chance, and you look at the result last week at Darlington now and you can see how important it was."

"A 0-0 draw probably sums up our season, but I will take a 0-0 draw next week now. We will go there, do the basics and try and win the game, you can't sit back and play for a draw. We have to go and play football, and do the right things."

"Notts County are under pressure, they will know that a point will do for them (comment from Martin - this is not correct), but if you turn it round, I know which position I would rather be at."

"Oxford has to go to Orient and get a result, they have to beat Orient, but orient wants the points to go up. It's one of those things where we have to do this ourselves and hopefully we might get a little help from elsewhere."

"The pressure is also on Torquay, all of a sudden they have a chance when they looked dead and buried, the shackles have come off, once the pressure is on, we will see how they deal with it."

"We dealt with Mansfield today, the lads gave me everything and I have no excuses. They gave everything they had and I am really proud of them and we will finish it off next weekend."

"I could have given some of the younger lads a game next week, I think it is only fair for the full squad to be given games, although we have some very good young players coming through, but their time will come."

"We have to be pro-active and look to the future, we've already started to look towards next year, instead of being caught on the hop, we are already in with a few things. We are being positive, and if it doesn't work out, then it doesn't work out. If it does work out, then we are heading in the right direction."
