TEENAGE midfielder Giles Coke has confirmed he wants to stay at Field Mill if he can agree a new deal.
The 19-year-old has rejected the inital two-year contract offered when his current one expires this summer.
But he said that was not the end of it.
"We are still negotiating a new deal - that's basically it," he said.
"I am very happy here. The gaffer is playing me in the team and I have no reason to want to go.
"There is a lot of speculation about me but I can't let it affect my football.
"I just want to get on doing a job for Mansfield Town."
He added: "It is still possible for us to make the Play-offs.
"But we are not really talking about it. We are just taking it game by game which has worked so far.
"This last two months we have been flying and the lads are buzzing."
