Stagsnet report

Stags 2nd string turned out at a cold Field Mill yesterday and drew 1 - 1
with local neighbours Lincoln City.
On a cold night it was a scrappy affair with Marvin Robinson scoring for the
visitors and a first half appearance by Danny Bacon.

Stags tried to play the better football overall on a bobbly surface, a
second half equaliser following a good passing move between Lloyd and Woods
with Heron getting the final touch on the line.

Team : Langford, Jacobs, Day, Brown, Trialist (Danny Blair), Birchall, Lloyd, Sleath, Rundle, Arnold, Heron.

Ben Barnet
Subs used :- Hunt, Woods, Jones

It was a case of men against Boys in the behind close doors friendly at Field Mill versus Lincoln City this afternoon.

A late goal from Daniel Heron brought the young Stags all square with Keith Alexander's Lincoln side that included former Stag Danny Bacon.

It was the visitors who opened the scoring with a well worked goal in the early minutes of the second period after dominating the first forty five minutes of play. Coming in to the second half with a new lease of life, the Stags were the stronger side and it was substitute Chris Wood in a right back role who burst up the right channel and squared the ball into the six yard box where Daniel Heron back heeled the ball home.

Alongside the youngsters Rhys Day, Adam Birchall and Adam Rundle played a part with all three pros finishing a full ninety minutes and Young Danny Blair on Trial form Nottingham Forest. But it was Adam Rundle who made the biggest impression of the day working tirelessly for the duration in the 1-1 draw .

Mansfield: Michael Langford, Kyle Jacobs, Rhys Day, Anton Brown, Danny Blair, Adam Birchall, Callum Lloyd, Danny Sleath, Adam Rundle, Nathan Arnold, Daniel Heron
Subs: Austin McIntosh, Dom Jones, Chris Wood, Tim Hunt
