CURLE CONCENTRATES ON CHESTER

Keith Curle leaves his court case against Mansfield Town to LMA lawyers and puts managing Chester City to the top of his agenda. He spoke exclusively to http://www.leaguemanagers.com about getting back into the game and his immediate priorities.

“ I want to be a football manager and I want to manage at the highest level. I have a job at Chester and am very thankful to be given the opportunity. The club are ambitious and we have a strong following of supporters that want their team to be successful. They want to be guided and they want a manager to be proud of. I aim to do that, to give them 100% focus and commitment. I want us to entertain as well as playing winning football.

“ Chester City's Chairman and Board of Directors were concerned about how much my energy levels were still going to be directed towards clearing my name over the Mansfield issue but during my interview for the job I know that I made it clear that I am a very focused and very determined person. I've moved on and my legal people are dealing with that issue and I'm free to concentrate on my career.

“ All along I've taken advice from the LMA and their legal advisors. They know the guidelines and procedures to be followed. I am grateful for the assistance they've given me and it has lead to the decision to take the case to the high court.

“ I left Mansfield under a cloud with my reputation and my name being associated with allegations that were wrong. I am now being given the opportunity to clear my name and to be totally exonerated from the allegations and charges that were labelled against me.”
