MANSFIELD Town caretaker manager Carlton Palmer made his second move into the transfer market today when he brought 19-year-old Jason Talbot in on a month's loan from Bolton Wanderers.
The left back has just returned from a three-month spell at Derby County and is expected to make his Stags debut at Boston on Saturday in place of Craig Woodman, who has gone back to Bristol City.
Talbot, a product of Bolton's youth sytem, was born in Trafford and can also play centre half.
Palmer has already brought in Fraser McLachlan on loan from Stockport and hopes to pick up a striker as well in time for the Boston trip.

mansfieldtown.net reports that Carlton Palmer has made his second signing as Mansfield Town Caretaker manager this afternoon. After succesfully acquiring Fraser McLachlan, Palmer has now called on the services of nineteen year old left back Jason Talbot.

Bolton Wanderers' Talbot has just returned from a three month stint at League Championship outfit Derby County and will be joining the Stags on an initial one month loan filling the gap left by departed Craig Woodman.

When contacted by Carlton Palmer, Talbot was delighted to be offered the opportunity of playing first team football and all the paperwork should be completed in time for him to make an appearance on Saturday at York Street when the Stags visit Boston United.
