A young Stags Youth side went down to a far more experienced Millers side at Rotherham on Saturday morning, Stags who fielded 5 first years and used 2 more as substitutes in a game which they Stags didn't deserve to lose.

In the first half against a strong wind Rotherham led through a cross cum shot which somehow sailed into the top corner, and then a gift from the Stags defence who when clearing there lines handed a goal to the Rotherham strikers to bundle home.

especially in the second half, and got back into the game with a Lloyd corner headed home by John-Baptiste.
Parkes prompting in midfield, Lloyd carrying the ball forward and Buxton and John-Baptiste's aerial threat were a worry to the home side in the second half but the Stags couldnt find that deserving second goal.

Team: Coates, JonesD, Rennals, Buxton, Ryles, Lloyd, Parkes, Naylor, Holmes, John-Baptiste, Mulligan
