mansfieldtown.net reports that Rhys Day was involved in a heavy aerial collision in the first ten minutes of the game which saw him get an elbow in the side of the head. The incident left Rhys with a broken jaw, which after recieving treatment on the pitch, he carried on through the remainder of the match in absolute agony. "Rhys was in a lot of pain with an agonizing injury to his lower jaw, but he asked to remain on the field of play and finish the game this really shows how much character this player has" said Keith Curle. |
