Mansfield earned a replay after a poor match at Field Mill, with Ross Dyer's 70th minute close-range finish cancelling out a first-half Jamie Milligan free kick.

Mansfield lined up in a 4-5-1 formation. Ben Futcher came into defence in place of Kendrick, playing at centre-half alongside Martin Riley. Luke O'Neill switched to left-back and Ritchie Sutton played at right-back. Anthony Howell was back in the squad in place of Paul Connor, who was dropped to the bench, and played as part of a midfield three with Adam Murray and Paul Bolland. Lindon Meikle and Ross Dyer played out wide, and Matt Green completed the squad as a lone striker.

Shane Redmond, Rhys Day and Andy Todd remained on the bench from last week, and were joined by Matt Bell, who replaced Joe Kendrick, Paul Connor, youngster Adam Somes and loan signing Louis Moult.

Fleetwood had the ball in the net after 5 minutes with a Milligan free kick, but an offside Fleetwood attacker was adjudged to have interfered with the ball, which beat everyone on its way into the goal.

The first half was very even, with neither side having many chances until just before half-time. A soft free kick was awarded on the edge of the Mansfield box, and Milligan's shot went straight up and over the wall, which didn't even attempt to block the ball. Marriott was wrong footed and Fleetwood went into the break as 1-0 leaders.

Mansfield nearly had an leveller on 57 minutes, Meikle with the cross/shot from the left wing and Green being inches away from getting his toe to the ball. Louis Moult, replacing Paul Bolland, came on four minutes later to try and liven things up. On 70 minutes, he had an assist. Luke O'Neill cut inside from the left-wing and jinked past a defender before crossing the ball. Moult slid in and played the ball back across the box to Dyer, who finished a splendid move from the edge of the six-yard box.

Mansfield were now on top and pushing forwards to try and find a winner, but this left them looking very frail at the back at times. The Stags could have had a second goal five minutes later, when O'Neill put a pin-point cross into the box, only for Futcher to miss the ball completely at the back post.

With less than ten minutes left, Sutton was harshly given the Stags only booking of the match, and Ben Futcher was announced as the sponsor's MOM.

Jamie Vardy should have won the match for the visitors with 5 minutes left. Having ran past Riley and Futcher with ease, his shot appeared to go straight over the bar, although a corner was given. Magno Vieira had a shot wide 3 minutes later.

Anthony Howell nearly fluked a winner in stoppage time, his sliced cross beating the keeper but landing on the roof of the net.

It proved to be the last chance of the game, which finished 1-1. It was a fair result in a poor game, although both sides could have won it, and will be hoping for a better result on Tuesday night. For now, ball 56 in tomorrow's draw will represent both Fleetwood and Mansfield.

Report by: Daniel Egginton at Field Mill

Line Up:
Marriott - 6.5 - Couple of good saves and well-caught crosses. Couldn't do a lot about the free kick.
Sutton - 6 - Offered an attacking option at times, but suspect in defence.
Riley - 6 - Better performance, but still not great.
Futcher - 6 - Surprise sponsor's MOM, for a big guy not brilliant at heading.
O'Neill - 7 - OK in defence, created a couple of good chances, including one that lead to the goal.
Dyer - 6 - Took his goal well, but still isn't a right-winger.
Bolland - 7 - Stuck his foot in, and offered a threat in attack.
Murray - 6 - Never got into the game, playing too deep.
Howell - 7 - Nearly scored a fluke, but looked scared to shoot when he had the ball in attack. Needs to go back to a more defensive role, as he was better at that today.
Meikle - 6 - Wasn't really in the game.
Green - 5.5 - Poor game, lost the ball too many times.
Sub Line Up:
Moult (for Bolland, 62) - 6.5 - Put some life into the game when he came on.
Subs not used: Redmond, Bell, Day, Todd, Somes, Connor.
Opposition Line Up:
Davies; Beeley, McNulty, Pond, Brown (Goodall 15); Vardy, McGuire, Milligan; Mangan (Clancy 81), Brodie (Vieira HT), Seddon. Subs: Louis-Hamilton, Briggs, Cox, Brown.

Referee:
Martin Smedley (Staffordshire) - 5 - Killed the game with too many soft fouls given, including the free kick that lead to Fleetwood's goal.
